Pair of gilt bronze candlesticks from a model from the Château de Neuilly, 19th century.<br />
This pair of gilded bronze candlesticks date from the first half of the 19th century, Louis Philippe period, they present a tarred baluster shaft with an ornamentation of acanthus leaves, water leaves and striated bottom, we find acanthus leaves which covers the base, the plinth is straight, work of good quality, assembly of the different elements constituting a torch by an iron axis threaded at the ends.<br />
An identical pair from the Château de Neuilly with inventory mark "LP/N" crowned and numbered 6978, was presented by Sotheby's on April 29, 2014 in Paris during a sale "A family and Napoleon, old collections of the Maréchal Berthier, Prince de Wagram" under lot number 139.<br />
Very good condition, to report a small deformation at the level of a plinth as well as a hole on each of the plinths (formerly drilled for electricity).<br />
