Sublime pair of ormolu torches from the Louis XV period, 18th century.
Let yourself be seduced by the elegance and refinement of this magnificent pair of torches dating from the Louis XV period, circa 1760.

Their harmonious architecture begins with a round base, delicately molded and punctuated by slight protrusions. A bell-shaped terrace, edged with fine beading and moldings, hosts an imposing central baluster shaft, whose curve tapers to an elegant shower foot, punctuated by connecting rings.

The upper part is adorned with a cylindrical spout with elaborate moldings and a beaded outline, complemented by its removable spout, featuring a hollow basin and an equally beaded rim.

The construction, using a screwing system, testifies to the craftsmanship of the period. Their superb original mercury gilding has survived the centuries, preserving a patina that attests to their authenticity.

Dimensions: Height 28 cm Diameter Base 14 cm

Condition report: Complete set, with its original Mercure gilding and classic traces of age and use, testifying to its history.
