Military travel trunk with domed lid, 19th century period, identified by stenciled inscription in white letters “Captain Acard Artillerie”.

Wooden structure covered in leather or black coated canvas, reinforced by riveted metal rods. Brass fittings including two keyed locks with face plates; black forged metal side carrying handles. Interior lined with old paper with gold and blue floral patterns, partially intact, with tears. The whole shows wear consistent with the age of the piece: scratches, surface chips and general patina. Condition of locks not specified, verification to be carried out. General cleaning to be expected.
