Crest with fins stamped with ten gadroons with mask decorated with a flaming bomb, it is topped with a black horsehair caterpillar. Brass front plate stamped with a Gallic rooster on a globe placed on an escutcheon marked "dedication", framed by branches of vines and sheaves of wheat, with a ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE CHATEAUGIRON" on a background of bundles of flags. Brass chinstraps composed of two chin straps with rosette: each chin strap is composed of a brass plate stamped with scalloped scales in relief, mounted on leather, round rosette stamped with gadroons in relief.
