Daligé de Fontenay Alexis Léonard, born April 29, 1813 in Paris, died 1892 in Paris.
A landscape painter, he was a pupil of Watelet and Hersent at the École des Beaux-Arts, where he entered in 1831.
This well-crafted canvas is representative of the spontaneity of the excellent painter Daligé de Fontenay, who painted landscapes from life without retouching.
