This small panel represents a bucolic landscape with a little shepherd sitting with his fishes near a waterfall in the nature. The very classical workmanship recalls the art of artists of the 1820s/1830s such as Guillaume Bodinier and Nicolas-Didier Boguet who studied landscape both in the open air in Italy and in the great Parisian studios.
