Marcel BACH 1879-1950
A Bordeaux painter of landscapes and genre scenes, he depicted rural life.
After studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, he exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artsistes Indépendants between 1906 and 1932. He also took part in the Salon d'Automne from 1920 to 1931 and the Salon des Tuileries from 1924 to 1933.
A soldier, then a prisoner of war in the 1914-1918 war, he produced a number of works about the war, but was especially attracted to the landscapes of southwest France, settling in Marcillac.
