Very nice Dehua white porcelain statuette, called "blanc de Chine", representing a master, probably a music teacher and his flautist pupil, on an oval base. The young musician's outfit is slightly missing at the knee. Qing period - 19th - China Dehua porcelain is better known in the West as Blanc de Chine. It is a type of Chinese white porcelain, made in Dehua, Fujian province. It has been produced since the Ming dynasty.
