A Louis XVI clock in white marble and gilded bronze: “Love and Friendship.”

The bronze elements are very finely chiseled.

Richly decorated with pearl-graining, garlands, interlacing, and flowers. It rests on six splayed feet.
The movement is an anchor escapement and features a striking mechanism for the hours and half-hours.
The hours and quarter-hours are indicated on the enameled dial in Arabic numerals; the dial bears the inscription:
“LEPAUTE, King’s Clockmaker in Paris”

The movement plate bears the VICENTI hallmark, engraved in relief, and was awarded a silver medal in 1834
