This is a very nice, three-footed, Japanese cloisonné pot from the Meiji period. These are sometimes described as incense burners although as the lid has no vents, I am not sure that is the case here.
The condition is fine, just a few traces of use but that it is to be expcted given it was made over 100 years ago. The decoration is very typical of the period and the light catching the colours is quite lovely, especially the glittering goldstone. The handle on the lid is a little loose but it is still in beautiful shape.
Approximate dimensions: 8cm x 8 cms; 151 g.
