Surprising small panel of animated shape, resinous wood, decorated in precious wood marquetry with a beautiful woman's face, executed in light wood veneer on a veined violet background which offers a striking contrast. The panel surround has a rosewood finish. Lorraine or Alsatian marquetry work, a fine example of know-how that we no longer see often, 18th century.
    Dimensions: 23cm x 18cm.
Condition: Good, but we see the trace of an old collage in the right two-thirds, religiously done by a lover of the object: the restoration is also superb. Collector's mark on the back,
