Jules Prior poet cooper born in Beaumont le Rogers in 1821 and died in 1903.
Double-sided handwritten poem "innocent games"
plus a handwritten letter on three pages song dedicated "To my friend Jules Prior" unidentified author.
Léon Tissandier, who honored his New Poems of an Artisan with his preface, knew how to find the exact words to say how noble this humble poet was. The inhabitants of Beaumont-le-Roger gave his name to one of their streets. He is buried in the Beaumont-le-Roger cemetery and on his tomb, engraved in stone, we can read some of his verses.
