Galerie LE JARDIN DES MOINES, antiques in Sacred Art and religious objects, offers you an early 20th century chalice in vermeil. The bowl is engraved with a frieze of foliage scrolls on a flared shaft with a central knot.
The base is engraved with a cross and captioned "Calicem salutaris accipiam et nomen domini invocabo", meaning "I will take the cup of salvation and invoke the name of the Lord".

In its original case marked "Armand-Calliat Fils" and its certificate of consecration dated October 22, 1909, in Lyon.
This chalice belonged to Father Julien Fiot, who died for France in 1918 and whose name is engraved under the base of the chalice. Very fine condition.
