It's always ambitious to try to date an altar stone. So, somewhat arbitrarily, I attribute it to the 19th century.
Our stone was consecrated, as evidenced by the anointing stains of Holy Chrism on the crosses.
It is classically engraved with five crosses, but the central cross is larger.
A relic accompanies it in a tomb to be sealed in an altar. Made of lead, it is securely protected by two episcopal seals.
The relic measures 4 cm by 4 cm.
The stone measures 33 cm by 28.5 cm and is 4 cm deep.
