Oval-shaped reliquary medallion in finely chased gilded brass adorned with colored rhinestones, decorated with paperolles and small pearl flowers, dedicated to St Reine, St Robert (abbot), St Valentin, St Rodolphe, St Jean de Vicome (abbot), from the 19th century.
This reliquary is in good condition.

A craft technique that involves winding narrow strips of paper to create a variety of ornamental shapes and designs. Paperolle is an ancient technique used in poor churches in the Middle Ages to imitate gold or silver filigree decorations. The creations were often reliquaries called paperolle reliquaries. Paperolle is a term derived from paper. It refers not only to the technique, but also to the paper work itself. Rolled paper is sometimes used as a synonym.
