An ex-ossibus, or exiguë, relic of Saint Elizabeth rests in a silver-plated theca surrounded by gold canetilles and numerous colored verroteries.
The whole, highlighted by a ruby fabric, is framed in gilded wood.
Elisabeth of Hungary or Elisabeth of Thuringia, born in 1207 and died in 1231, was a ruler of Thuringia and a member of the Franciscan Third Order. She was soon canonized in 1235.
