In fine condition, it is adorned with several sculpted medallions.
The one in the center depicts the Baptism of Christ. The base and sides are also richly decorated with fine carvings and precious wood inserts. Under the dreamlike armrests, two trumpet-wielding angels ride a dragon in the cloud. They add poetry to the ensemble, symbolizing spiritual mastery over the forces of the world.
