    Saint Joan of France, also known as Joan of Valois (1464-1505), was the daughter of Louis XI and Queen Charlotte of Savoy.
    After the annulment of her marriage to Louis XII, the queen founded the Order of the Annunciades.
    In our exquisite depiction, she receives the ring, one of her three attributes, which is handed to her by a young girl.
    Two wax figures are therefore present: Saint Joan dressed in an azure satin gown with ermine-like patches, and an elegantly attired young girl. A canopy of old-rose satin edged with gilt dominates the scene.
    The whole is placed in a quality giltwood frame.
    A work from the 18th-century Nancy workshops.
    Dimensions: 35 cm by 25 cm and 5 cm deep.
