Large in size, this luxurious and elegant console is a piece of cabinetmaking dating from the end of the Empire period. It is distinguished by its mahogany burr veneer offering a beautiful flame as well as high quality bronze ornamentation, from from the best Parisian bronziers, the bronzes are very finely chiseled and gilded in matt with shiny parts, this original gilding perfectly highlights the very detailed carving work.

This very deep wall table with imposing proportions rests on a solid base indented on the front of a basket handle shape, on this base is supported 2 consoles and 2 pilasters which support the belt, it opens by a drawer on the fronts, this belt is molded in the image of an antique cornice with a very elongated cavet. The whole receives a curved molding in the shape of a tor known as bec de corbin on which rests a thick white marble.

The ornamentation is most interesting, very floral, it is organized around antique motifs from both Greek and Egyptian architecture. Large rosette with blooming lotus flowers surrounded by a crown alternating acanthus leaf and lotus leaf rest on the sides of the consoles and on the drawer, large falls adorn the bulge of the front consoles with palmette decorations, base of water leaves, numerous acanthus leaves, lotus flowers, water leaves and bells. The 2 mahogany consoles rest on an elegant volute base, where we find acanthus leaves and lotus flowers, the sides are worked in the style of bas-relief highlighting foliage, bases and rosettes hanging from fine scrolls, this element is topped with palmettes, bases and totally openwork scrolls which adorn the start of the console without weighing down the bass.

The frame is made of fir and walnut, the whole is perfectly manufactured and assembled, the interior of the drawer is veneered with mahogany.

Furniture in beautiful condition, with very beautiful wood colors, intact marble and superb bronze with their period gilding.
