Overall Length: 63.5 cm; Blade Length: 48.5 cm

Cast brass hilt.
Ovoid pommel surmounted by a dome serving as a rivet button.
Hollow with twenty-six flutes.
Straight crossguard, wheel-shaped quillons, inspection marks, serial number "1179".
Double-edged blade with a fish-tongue edge; triangular flat at the ricasso, central ridge, inspection marks, marked "Manuf Rle de Chatellerault" on one side and likely engraved "9 November 1841" on the other.
Leather scabbard, chape serial numbered "1179" and brass locket, inspection marks.
