More than a page of writing, a page of history. That is always the main promise of an apostolic bull!
He is the 255th pope. Elected in 1846, Pius IX's thirty-one-year pontificate remains the longest in the history of the papacy.
On the lead seal with its cord, we can see the haloed busts of Saint Paul and Saint Peter, and on the second side, under a Cross in glory, the three-line inscription PIVS/ PAPA/ IX is clearly visible.
The dimensions of this page are 53 cm by 36 cm.
Bulla in good condition - Seal degraded with multiple chips
