Beautiful devotional work from the very late 18th or early 19th century in a three-sided, carved and gilded wooden chase, topped by a wooden angel.
The wax Child is surrounded by colorful flowers and dressed in a beautifully embroidered robe. He lies serenely on a velvet cushion trimmed with braids, at the foot of a high mountain on which several miniature buildings stand.
A work of fervor probably from northern Italy.
Dimensions: 81 cm long, 65 cm high and 33 cm deep.
Very fresh fabrics and decor. Good condition, except for the leaded glass dome, several elements of which are missing and have been replaced by greaseproof paper. Some missing parts.
