The Virgin, bust in Glory, in polychrome wax, watches tenderly over the Child. The Child, arms crossed and langued, rests on a bed of seven relics of Saint Martyrs covered with fine gauze.
Saint Honest, Saint Victoric, Saint Prospère, Saint Victoire, Saint Angel, Saint Speciofae, Saint Servidei, all sacrificed themselves for Him.
There are three other series of seven relics. They are harmoniously distributed to the left, right and above the Virgin.
Our saints include Aquilae, Hortulari, Aurelii, Beati, Amati, Bonosi, Justini,Gratioti, Aurea, Simplicitti, Glorioti, Pacifiti, Boni, Honorati, Gandidoti, Victorini, Humilis, Spei.
Almost all are named after virtues or human qualities that bring us closer to the Most High.
