    FLINTLOCK PISTOL model 1777, 1st type called chest
    France 18th century, Louis XVI period
    Steel, brass, wood
    Total length: 33; Barrel length: 19.2 cm
    Cal.: 17.1 mm
     
    Five-sided barrel at the thunder, then round and smooth, marked "86" and stamped PM crowned.
    Flintlock lock.
    Brass chest, engraved "St Etienne" and stamped with the crowned "J", of the controller Javille. Location and screw of the belt hook.
    Brass fittings, iron strap.
    Nail-head ramrod on the side, stamped D and P.
    Walnut frame, stamped "MAY 1786" with the control stamps B and D crowned.

    Very good condition. In its original polish.
