City of Fay firefighter's helmet Mle 1855, modified 1872 (disappearance of the Second Empire eagle). All-brass helmet, with crest, chinstrap and rosette, interior present. Stamped brass faceplate with grenade motif surrounded by axes and rays, banner inscribed "Sapeurs Pompiers de Fay. Scarlet feather plume. Good overall condition, with wear and some minor bumping, Visible on photos. France III republic.
