Entirely made of brass, the bomb is surmounted by a crest composed of: Two fins embossed with a decreasing series of gadroons. The crest is surmounted by a black horsehair chenille. The crest is surmounted by a black horsehair chenille.brass front plate embossed in relief and decorated in its center with a flaming bomb between two crossed axes on a background of laurel leaves with a ribbon bearing the inscription "Srs POMPIERS DE LANGEAIS".
Mobile visor embossed with two crossed axes. Brass chinstrap embossed with a series of scalloped and chased scales, round rosettes embossed with gadroons.
Square-section pen-holder tapering slightly towards the bottom, clamping screw missing.
General ABE condition, with traces of use. Inner cap missing.
