Very pretty bronze with brown patina in excellent condition representing "La Faneuse" a young woman in clogs, at rest leaning on her fork during haymaking, it rests on a circular base signed on the terrace A Boucher and numbered 108 F at the rear, Alfred Boucher (1850-1934) French sculptor entered the School of Fine Arts in 1869 (pupil of Dubois) he worked in Rome and in Paris, this sculpture is undoubtedly the one then entitled 'Aux champs' exhibited at the Salon in 1897 All his works are distinguished by their naturalism, (current Art Nouveau) he creates the La Ruche home in 1902 where so many great artists will pass ...
