    Pair of Officer's Flintlock Pistols Model 1816
    19th century
    Steel, wood, brass, copper, brass fittings
    Total length: 34 cm - Barrel length: 20 cm - Cal: 17 mm

    Blued steel square and round barrels, secured by a key, stamped on the left side and dated 1822. Breechblock engraved Mle1816.
    Whalebone ramrod with brass ferrule.
    Flintlock locks, signed Mne Rle de Mutzig, and stamped B in a lozenge. Punched brass basins.
    Very sloping walnut crossbars, finely checkered (slight crack).
    Gilded brass fittings, ellipse-shaped stock caps.
