The Renouvel workshop is one of those places that seems entirely devoted to ornamentation: the walls and furniture are covered with plaster ornaments and tools essential to woodcarving - chisels, gouges, bevels and chisels of all shapes .

Anne Nicolle has been working there for several decades. She entered it as an apprentice in 1977 and became the student of the owner of the workshop, Jean Renouvel, when he was appointed Master of Art in 1994.
She won the first prize for sculpture at the naturalist artists' fair at the Museum of Natural History in Paris in 1996.

If Anne Nicolle already masters the know-how, the transmission allows her to really take charge of the sites.

Anne Nicolle, who has been drawing since a very young age, insists on the importance of this activity in her work, seeing in the realization of sketches a decisive preparatory work.

Anne Nicolle also makes her own sculptures, mainly animals that she draws from nature before sculpting them in different woods, common or precious.
